The cover of Do You Know features an image of Cassiopeia A: an exploding star, colorful and violent and arguably breathtaking. The breaking of the levees during Katrina too were violent and sudden, but within all the pain — the loss, the death, the neglect and social demoralization — moments of surreal beauty unique to the city and circumstance managed to rise to our attention. Do You Know celebrates those moments, reflects on the loss, and meditates on the history of this great city.
